Terms and Conditions


Payments and Deposits

Latvian Baked Goods requires a 50% deposit for every order made. This secures your date in the diary only and is non-refundable. The final balance can be paid on the collection day by cash or card payment. Failure to meet your payment commitments may mean that Latvian Baked Goods are unable to hand over your order to you. Orders placed within 1 week of your collection date need to be paid in full within 24 hours. Failure to meet this payment commitment will mean your order will not be secured and will not go ahead.

By paying your deposit, you are in agreement to these Terms & Conditions.

Delivery

Latvian Baked Goods runs a collection only policy, but in some circumstances, delivery may be an option. Delivery charges will be agreed upon during the quotation stage and will require your full delivery address ahead of your delivery date.

Collection

Collections from Latvian Baked Goods take place between 10am - 10pm. This is a strict policy and failure to notify of lateness may result in Andris being unavailable at the time you arrive. Please notify us as soon as you know you may be running late so an alternative collection time can be arranged.

Damage to products

Latvian Baked Goods holds no responsibility for any damage caused to a cake or other products after it has left our premises. We ensure that a suitable box is provided for any product and advice on how to store and transport your cake is provided before you collect your cake. Failure to adhere to the advice given may result in damage to your cake.

Photography

Latvian Baked Goods photograph all products made for marketing purposes. We reserve the right to use all photographs for display/promotional purposes. Please advise if you require us to post a picture of your cake after a certain time/date to avoid the recipient seeing the cake before they should.

Allergens

Latvian Baked Goods use a wide variety of ingredients whilst baking. We DO accept orders for anyone who suffers from intolerances or allergies. It is your responsibility to advise us of any intolerances or allergies at point of ordering. If you're concerned about any ingredients that we may use, please don't hesitate to get in touch and a full list of ingredients can be provided.

Inedible items

Depending on agreed design, your product may contain inedible decorations such as glitter card toppers, dried florals or in the case of a tiered cake, wooden dowels. It is your responsibility to ensure all inedible items are removed before consumption.

Ordering

You must place your order at least 2 weeks in advance, orders placed less than 7 days before collection might be refused. Your order will not be confirmed until deposit payment and subsequently full payment is received and confirmed by Latvian Baked Goods. Payments are accepted by Bank Transfer, PayPal and cash or card on collection.

Cancellation by Us

In the unlikely event of Latvian Baked Goods having to cancel your order due to sickness, in line with Food Hygiene Regulations, we aim to give as much notice as possible and refund any monies paid in full for orders that we are unable to fill.

Cancellation by customers

In the event you need to cancel your cake please give as much notice as possible. Any monies paid are non-refundable and non-transferrable in any case. This is due to the lost earnings that may arise from turning away bookings on your chosen date and any work that has already been completed on your order. To be able to receive full refund, cancellation must be done at least 2 weeks from the collection date.
